Policies Overview
Your family’s safety and privacy are at the heart of everything I do.
Welcome to The Centred Child’s policy page. I believe that for children to learn and grow, they first need to feel safe and secure. These policies explain how I work to protect your child, your family’s privacy, and the practical details of how our sessions run. My goal is to be as clear and open as possible so that you can feel completely at ease while we work together.
Below you will find the key polices that guide how I work

Safeguarding Policy
Responsibility & Training
Tracey is fully trained in safeguarding and holds a clear Enhanced DBS check. Her primary responsibility is the safety and wellbeing of every child. If any concerns arise about a child's safety or welfare, these will be handled with care and transparency in accordance with UK safeguarding practices and local authority guidelines.
Supervision & Parent Presence
All sessions are carefully supervised to ensure a secure environment. Depending on the child's needs and the nature of the support, parents may be invited to stay or remain close by. We maintain an open-door policy where family communication is central to the child's feeling of safety and confidence.
Home & Outdoor Safety
Safety checks are regularly carried out in both home and outdoor learning spaces. We ensure that animals, garden equipment, and nature exploration areas are risk-assessed, allowing children to engage with the natural world safely. Our environment is designed to be therapeutic yet secure at all times.
Privacy Policy
At The Centred Child, I take your family’s privacy very seriously. This policy explains how I look after the information you share with me, ensuring it is handled with the utmost care, respect, and in accordance with UK data protection rules.
What Information is Collected
I collect details like names, contact information, and relevant health or educational notes about your child. This helps me provide the best possible support and stay in touch during our time working together.
How it is Stored and Protected
Your information is stored securely on password-protected devices and in locked cabinets. I only keep data for as long as it is necessary for our work or as required by insurance and UK law.
Information Sharing
I do not sell or share your information with anyone else for marketing. Data is only shared with professionals (like doctors or teachers) if we have agreed it together, or if there is a legal or safety concern.
